Free Eye Camps

 

Jhelum, Pakistan in December 2011

Al-Ain held another successful Free Eye Camp in Jhelum, under the supervision of Al-Ain General Secretary Zahid Mahmood Qureshi. 821 patients were screened and 60 patients were provided with cataract removal surgery to restore their eye sight. 270 patients were given free glasses.

Bangladesh  in April & June 2009

In Bangladesh, a day long eye camp was arranged with the help of BNSB, which is an excellent Eye Hospital. The eye camp was inaugurated by the Government authority. Local inhabitants, chairman of local government, teachers and students attended the eye camp inauguration ceremony. From the Eye Camp, the 30 most deserving people were given a Cataract Removal Operation, their cataract operation was completed on the day or will be soon after. About 250 patients with eye problems received FREE medical advice and medicine from the eye camp, 300+ poor school children were provided with free glasses.

 

Murid, Chakwal, Punjab Pakistan on the 2nd January 2005 

The fifth camp was organised at Murid, Chakwal, Punjab Pakistan on the 2nd January 2005 during which we examined and treated more than 400 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 44 cataract patients went on our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 36 glasses for poor students, youngster and middle age poor patients. We also distributed clothes which were imported by the trust from UK among poor, deserving patients and local people.

Chaksawari, Azad Kashmir - 27th, 28th & 29th November 2004

The fourth camp was organised at Chaksawari, Azad Kashmir on the 27th, 28th & 29th November 2004, during which we examined and treated more then 407 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 79 cataract patients went on our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 19 pairs of glasses for poor students, youngsters and middle aged poor patients. We also distributed clothes imported by the trust from UK among poor, deserving patients and local people.

Pubbi, Peshawar, N.W.F.P Pakistan - 17th March 2004

The third camp was organised at Pubbi, Peshawar, N.W.F.P Pakistan on the 17th March 2004 during which we examined and treated more than 500 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 32 cataract patients went onto our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 250 patients.

 

Tarha Pai Oggee, Mansehra NWFP - 6th September 2003

The second such camp was organised at Tarha Pai Oggee, Mansehra, N.W.F.P Pakistan on the 6th September 2003 during which we examined and treated about 500 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 42 cataract patients went on our cataract list, out of which 20 patients had free cataract extraction with Intra ocular Lens Implantation free of charge. We also provided free sight glasses to about 200 patients.

 

Sehnsa Azad Kashmir - 28th & 29th August 2003

The first such camp was organized at Sehnsa Azad Kashmir on 28th & 29th August 2003, during which we examined and treated about 1300-1500 poor and deserving eye patients and out of them 132 patient had a cataract extraction with Intra ocular Lens Implantation free of charge. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 30 pairs glasses for poor students, youngsters and middle aged poor patients.
